In October of 2022, Clara Lars released her debut EP, Illusions, at just 16 years old. Illusions was a fine introduction for Lars, who co-produced many of her recordings with Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Beach House, TV on the Radio, Future Islands). She followed up her EP with the release of her song “Nobody’s Tired,” which was also co-produced with Coady. Earlier this year, Lars released her song “Better” which she co-produced with Kieron Menzies (Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa, FKA Twigs, Zara Larsson). “Better” musically distinguishes itself from her previous works, maintaining a captivating alt-pop sound while also heavily incorporating electronic synth elements.

Born in Brooklyn and raised there until she was 10, Clara recently moved back to her native New York City to pursue a BFA in recorded music. Her latest release, “This Time,” delves into the shifting power dynamics of a complicated relationship. The track, which was produced by Lars and Grammy-winning producer Tim Sonnefeld (Usher, Elvis Costello), blends lush and dreamy vocals with electronic influences and an alternative pop sound.  Her new music is in every way an indication that Clara Lars is just getting started.
